Our mission is to provide quality obstetrical and gynecological medicine with the utmost of compassion and care to women of all ages.
Lakewood Ranch Obstetrics and Gynecology is unique in that it is composed of all women practitioners. In fact, our motto is, “Caring for Women, by Women,” and together our team provides comprehensive care to women of all ages in a supportive, family-friendly environment. The team is led by our two board certified physicians who are Dr. Jennifer Swanson and Dr. Anna Soendker. The doctors each have over 15 years of experience in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Our team also consists of allied health professionals which include Nurse Practitioner Tracy Grathwohl, and Certified Nurse Midwives Stephanie Tracey and Jill Edwards. All of the practitioners work closely together as a team to provide the best medical care to our patients.
Our pregnant patients deliver exclusively at Sarasota Memorial Hospital which offers world class medical care and the only Level III NICU in the area. Teaming together with Maternal Fetal Medicine doctors and Neonatal Intensive Care specialists, we offer the best possible care to our patients and newborns.
If you have gynecological concerns, we will take the time to listen to you in our warm and welcoming office. We perform gynecological surgery at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques. Many of our minor procedures can be performed in our office suite for the convenience and comfort of our patients. In fact, we now offer nitrous oxide in the office for pain relief so most procedures are painless.
We are a full-service practice with obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound and blood drawing services available to most of our patients.

These past eight years have been remarkable for our practice, as we were awarded Bradenton Herald’s People Choice Award for Best OB/GYN practice in Manatee and Sarasota Counties for eight consecutive years! We are grateful to our patients for having such confidence in our physicians and allied health professionals. Having attained this significant achievement, we continue to strive for excellence as women’s health care providers.
All of us at Lakewood Ranch OB/GYN are dedicated to serving our community in various ways. We walk together as a team at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event each year in October. We also participate with Lakewood Ranch Rotary Club to provide funding to various charities in the region with a special emphasis on women and children.

We have two offices, one located in the heart of Lakewood Ranch next to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center – close to Sarasota and Bradenton just east of the Interstate 75 University Parkway exit and our second office is located in close proximity to Sarasota memorial Hospital at 1617 South Tuttle Ave, Suite 1A.
